Liska’s Enduring Spiritual Legacy
Since the early 1800s, Liska has been a key center of Jewish life, known for its thriving cultural and religious community. Thousands of pilgrims come annually to pay homage to Tzvi Hirsh Liska, also revered as Hershele Lisker. Liska’s influence extends beyond its borders, reaching nearby towns like Kerestir and impacting Jewish life across Hungary. Today, Liska attracts around 5,000 visitors annually, each drawn by its historical and spiritual significance.
